Founded in 1979, China Film Co-production Corporation (CFCC) has been the sole agency authorized by the national film authority of China to assess the coproduction status of all Chinese-foreign film co productions, as well as films coproduced between producers from the Chinese Mainland and from Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan regions. CFCC’s main duties include processing the relevant submission and approval affairs required by the national film authority of China of the foregoing film co-productions on behalf of the co-producers, assisting the national film authority of China with the negotiation and signing of bilateral agreements on film co-production between China and other countries, facilitating the application and shooting of international film crews in the Chinese mainland, as well as cohosting film co-production related events like forums, seminars, project pitches and film screenings with relevant local and international organizations during international film festivals at home and abroad.


With promoting international film co-producing as our core business, CFCC is also committed to hosting exchange programs focusing on the interpretation of China’s policies on Chinese-foreign film co-productions, industry environment and film coproduction resources, as well as on bridging local film production agencies and their international counterparts for future collaborations in any form.


CFCC maintains reliable communication and cooperative relationship with the competent authorities, industry associations and film production agencies of many countries or regions, facilitates film cooperation between China and foreign countries continuously and plays a role in Chinese films going global market.
